Overview: Students learn the basics of working with a graphical program: how to create graphic slides and how to show graphic presentations.

Prerequisites: Students enrolling in this course should have Windows and mousing skills

Benefits: Students learn how to how to create a variety of slides using PowerPoint's AutoLayouts and Wizard features. Students create and view a slide-show presentation.

Objectives

Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to:

Start PowerPoint, open a presentation, and become familiar with the PowerPoint presentation screen and views.
Create a title slide in Slide view and bullet slides in both Slide view and Outline view.
Use PowerPoint's Help system.
Work with PowerPoint's drawing tools to create objects and text.
Insert clip art and create curved text by using WordArt.
Create an organization chart.
Create a column chart and import an Excel chart.
Select and apply a template to a presentation.
Work with the AutoContent and Pick A Look Wizards.
Run a manual and an automatic slide show with transitions and builds.
Look at Notes Pages and PowerPoint's print options.
