Excel 7.0: Advanced (Windows 95)
Course description
Overview: Students will learn the skills and concepts necessary
to perform advanced data analysis.
Prerequisites: Students should understand the basic concepts
involved in using Excel 7.0 worksheets. They should be familiar with copying data, basic
formulas and functions, and opening and saving files.
Benefits: Students will learn how to customize the Excel work
area, and how to create advanced formulas, pivot tables, file linking formulas, and
outlines. Students will also use Goal Seek, Solver, and Scenario Manager to analyze data.
Performance-based objectives
Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to:
- Customize the work area by creating a custom toolbar, custom styles, and
a template file.
- Create a nested function; build advanced formulas using the IF and
VLOOKUP functions; and use the Auditing feature.
- Create and work with pivot tables.
- Compare and contrast workbook files and file links.
- Outline and consolidate worksheets.
- Use the Goal Seek, Solver and Scenario Manager to analyze worksheet data.
- Display and protect worksheet data.
