Course Description
Overview: Students will learn to normalize table data; establish relationships between tables; change table properties and create indexes; use queries to calculate, average, and concatenate values; design forms that include calculated fields, combo boxes, list boxes, and unbound controls; customize reports by grouping, sorting, and summarizing data, and adding a subreport; create mailing labels.
Prerequisites: Students should understand how to create and use the objects in Access 7.0 (Windows 95), including tables, queries, forms, and reports.
Benefits: Students will learn how to enhance their database designs by using the principles of data normalization and table relationships, and by querying multiple tables for data to be used in customized forms and reports.
