Course description

Overview: Students will enhance their skills beyond the basic level by creating advanced queries, enhancing forms and reports, creating subforms, and working with relationships.

Prerequisites: Students enrolling in this course should be comfortable in a Windows environment, have completed an into Access 2.0: class (Windows) or equivalent knowledge. Students should also understand basic concepts involved in working with databases

Benefits: Students will learn how to more effectively work with queries, forms and reports in Access 2.0.

Performance-based objectives

Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to:

Create select queries using advanced techniques
Create parameter and action queries
Create multitable queries
Design tables that include default values, validation rules and text, input masks, and indexes
Create, delete and document table relationships
Customize a form
Create and enhance forms containing subforms
Utilize command buttons and macros in forms
Create grouped reports
Create mailing labels
Use Access data in other applications
