When B&R Accounting firm came to us to deploy a Windows NT network in 1997, we developed an effective and efficient network deployment plan that included the current state of their
business and strategies for future growth. A small 15 port hub was placed on the lower level of the office and cable was installed in every room with single and multiple jacks so that every computer in the building could be
connected to one another. We setup a Windows NT file server, two laser printers and six workstations with Windows 95 and Ethernet cards. Application and Operating Systems software was configured to integrate all office devices
and software into one network so that several employees could share scanners, printers and other equipment.
This network was implemented in a few weeks and the firm experienced no downtime. Since deployment, the network has been up 99.8% of the time. We added two computers to the network and upgraded all computers to Windows 98. We
also installed Y2K patches in 1998 and 1999 to insure Y2K readiness of the network. When the clock struck 12:00 AM on January 1, 2000, business went on as usual for B&R Brooks.
