Based Employment and Training Organizations: Web based client data tracking:
Objective:
Baltimore Empowerment Zone wanted to provide
a tool for community based employment and training organizations to track
client referrals, placements and outcomes. Provide a wide range of
reporting capabilities for individual centers as well as for funding sources
on center performance. Reduce duplication of effort among centers.
Provide a uniform business process among all centers while allowing
organizations to maintain processes unique to their center.
Solution:
Developed a web enabled database (MS SQL)
providing secure access for individual centers and limiting access of center
employees to only those clients assigned to the employee by a center
manager. Ability to track referrals to a variety of services ( On the
Job training, Classroom training, Employment, Health services etc.) as well as
track follow-up and job retention for individual clients. Allows centers
to transfer ownership of client records between centers. Provides
reporting for individual centers for only their clients and reporting of
outcomes for sources/organizations providing funding to the centers.
Result: Provided real-time access to
client data. Eliminated duplication of data reporting to funding
sources on the same client from different centers. Increased worker
productivity by by providing a common interface and common data structure
across all centers.
